The Lodge's central lounge and entertainment area, extending out onto a large outside deck surrounding the trunk of a giant Marula tree, creates a breathtaking ambiance that rivals the stunning landscapes of the Blyde River Canyon and God's Window. The chatting of the birds and the amazing sunrises during the 3-hour safari tour in an open-raised safari vehicle will keep you enthralled. So, imagine being serenaded by the melodious birds as if you were the star of your very own nature documentary!
Limited lunch possibilities.

The food was delicious and gourmet, served on the deck with visiting kudu and bushbabies. The poolside relaxation with passing zebra herds was a real treat. The comfortable bed made our stay even better. We can't wait to return!
Felt extremely safe, no complaints.

We had the most incredible time going on two full day safaris in the Kruger Park with a super knowledgeable guide. We saw so many animals up close, it was mind-blowing! And there's no better way to start the day than with a bush breakfast in the middle of the wild, surrounded by nature. The safari adventure at the lodge itself was thrilling too, with animals passing by right outside our luxury accommodation. It was like living in a real-life wildlife documentary! Plus, the morning walk in Kruger National Park was an adventure of a lifetime. We couldn't believe we were walking among elephants and giraffes! We couldn't have asked for a more exhilarating experience.
That we didn't really have many options for young, party-going activities at the lodge. It would have been awesome to have some more energetic and vibrant entertainment options for the evenings, like a dance floor or a party space where we could let loose and have a blast.

The deck surrounding the tree was a great spot to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The safari tour provided fantastic views of nature. Loved spotting the vibrant sunbirds and learning about the evolutionary process of bush babies.
Oh, I just adored having insects, lizards, and birds for dinner. So delightful.

We had a great value for our money at Needles Lodge. The room was clean, cozy, and filled with thoughtful touches like complimentary cookies and toiletries. The location was perfect for wildlife enthusiasts, as we were able to see animals up close while walking around. The staff treated us like family and were always ready to help.
The food for breakfast could have been improved with more variety in the menu.

I had the most amazing experience at Needles Lodge. The owners, Denis and Gail, were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. Every evening, we gathered for a delicious dinner where we shared stories and recommendations. The highlight was being able to feed zebras right from the lodge's veranda! The food was exceptional, and the lodge's location in the park meant that we had visits from various animals throughout the day. Denis also provided us with great advice on what to see and do in the area. I can't wait to return to this unforgettable place. highly recommend!
Note on drawbacks: We had some minor issues with the Wi-Fi connection, but it didn't detract from the overall fantastic experience.

We saw lions, elephants, and even a leopard up close! The open vehicle and professional guide made the experience even more thrilling. And the bush breakfast was the perfect way to start our day of exploring. The luxury accommodation at Marloth Park was top-notch, with comfortable rooms and a beautiful pool to relax in. It was truly an experience of a lifetime!
The only thing we could've asked for is more nightlife options nearby. As young, party-going people, we would have loved to have some fun activities to do in the evenings.
